It is always our intention to raise as much money as possible for a chosen charity each year and with the success of our Breast Cancer Day last year, we decided to do the Hospice Midnight Walk. Myself and 5 members of the Parkhall Team registered and received our sponsor forms within a few days. Many of our loyal customers and delivery drivers all donated through our sponsor forms or gave their loose change into the buckets that we had set up in-store and with the efforts of everyone we managed to raise a considerable amount for the Hospice.
At Clydebank Co-op we always do our best to support the Hospice in many ways. Along with our CEO Mrs Fiona McInnes and many others I attended this year’s Ladies Lunch which inspired me even more to try and raise money for the Hospice through the Midnight Walk which was advertised in the booklet.
A superb night was had by all. Entertainment was great, atmosphere was fantastic and everyone involved were all in good spirits. We left at Midnight and lit up the sky as we walked towards Kilbowie Roundabout with our light up headgear on. The cars tooted as they went by and one by one we all walked proudly in support of the Hospice until we reached the end and were welcomed by a delicious barbeque.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and donated to our sponsor forms and buckets. Without your help we would not have the success of raising as much money as we have. So, from myself, Colette Gilliland and my team of walkers, Gillian McCartney, Margaret Yuill, Sarah Young, Claire Fellows and Suzanne Smith, Thank You to everyone.
